Topic: 05 MCS Posted: February/06/05 at 1:11pm |
Had the opportunity to drive an 05 MCS. Thanks Harbor Mike. The new gear ratios are great. They really give the car the get up and go it should of had to begin with. The new accent lighting is a nice plus.(led lights inside door handles, under toggles,up by rear veiw mirror) and courtesy light under both doors. The chrome package is a nice option. All in all the 05 is the what the car should have been to begin with. Those of you that are buying an 05 will be pleased with the cars preformance and esthetics. Those of you who already own the 05 enjoy.

I had the opportunity to test drive the blue JCW MCS they had at NW Mini a couple of months ago, and WOW!!!
It sure was a nice treat since I had been waiting 2+ hours for them to complete my 13K service! And they wouldn't even give me a V39 flash, or the Dinan ECU flash, even though I begged and pleaded!

I am surprised that they wouldn't give you the V39 flash... I thought it was a recall flash...
also, welcome to the forum!

I Drove Tomeo's PW MCS the other day it has the limited slip diff. It sure was sweet to drive through a corner with better traction. I took it easy but I have to admit the 05 gear ratio and LSD is the ticket.
Thanks Tomeo

If I was to get another Mini it would be an MCS with LSD. While I'm dreaming it would be HEMI orange with black center stripe, tinted windows, black out tail and side marker lights, black front grilles, aero skirts and chrome six spoke 17" rims.

It sucks that you can order one now on the 05 for only 500.00 add. It sucks only for those who already have a mini.
