So, if I install a 15% pulley, increased cold-air intake and increased exhaust, what will happen to my warranty?  Aaron at NW Mini was kinda sketchy on it.  He basically said that if anything happens and it can be traced to the pulley, et al, that it would void that part of the warranty.

Kinda curious as to what y'all have done and what you think.

Technically he is right, but the items you listed Mini also installs the same thing just with there Logo on it. Many people go with Dinan when they do these up grades to avoid any warranty issues. Problem is they have nothing for the second gen Mini's. Is your 08 MCSC one of the last to have the blower or with your build date did they already do the change on the MCSC?
If you have the Blower there you my be able to work with a few things .

Ermm Proceeding with caution. Supercharged refers to boosting the intake air pressure to the combustion chambers on a 4 stroke engine. Now how we do that is a couple of different ways. The 02-06 Mini's used what is called a belt driven blower, after 06 Mini started changing engines for the new 2nd gen Mini's, this engine is Turbo charged. Now this is where I am not sure of the build change date on the MCSC. Easiest thing to do is try to catch coffee at one of the morning coffee meets and the club members on hand can explan all of this first hand.

Sorry it dawned on me as I left for work, if you lift open your bonnet and you see a big silver rectangle thing that kind of looks like your radiator laying flat with a hose on the left and right side of it you have a place for that 15%.

I suck at resizing photos, but there are a couple of pics of him with his bonnet up here:

Are you the same John that makes cool stuff for our Minis?

You have a supercharger, the 08 MCSC is still supercharged.  Many members have the 15% pulley and I do not know anyone that has had an issue with warranty repairs from installing the pulley.  NW MINI is mod friendly and supports our group.  I think if you ask members at a get together you will find that most if not all have changed their pulley.

I totally agree with Dave/Mini-Rolls on that. If a Mini Dealership will put a John Cooper Works Pulley on a SuperCharger, a different Cold Air Intake, and a different Exhaust you have nothing to worry about. I know that Portland's Mini Dealership does not have a problem with modded Mini's and warranty.
