The AMVIV2 planning has begun...It is going to be March 3-6,2005. www.amviv.com has the details. They have rooms with group rates at the Palace Station Casino and Hotel. Rooms at the hotel are $59.00 a night for the courtyard. Last year they had over 200 MINIs and Minis in attendance. Even Penn of Penn and Teller showed up. I plan on attending and will be making my reservations soon. We will need to leave the Puget Sound on Wednesday and stay over night someplace along the way, making it a two day drive to VEGAS......We plan to leave sometime Sunday and get home some time Monday. Anybody else in the mood for a group drive to Vegas in March???? |

Ok we made our reservations today, to get the discount you need make the reservations by 2/1/05. I changed the planning to make it easier for anyone that would like to drive down with us. We are going to leave at the butt crack of dawn on Thursday morning the 3rd and drive to Reno to spend the night. We will then get up and drive to Vegas. If we leave Reno by 7am then we should be able to get to Vegas by 5pm. Coming back we can leave Sunday and get back Monday. This time frame would only require 3 days off work or in some peoples mind it is a 5-day weekend, the best kind of weekend.

whole week off and going early, but we'll have to see. I will
post back here once I know for sure.
Did the room require a deposit? Also, did you happen to catch the cancellation policy? |

48 hour cancel policy. I put it on my credit card already, they charged the whole amount $164 to my card. not a problem for me. As far as Sunday goes we are flexible the Hoover Dam run would be cool.

Don't know if they opened some more rooms or not, but I was able to get a courtyard room for $59.

Ok, We have booked five rooms in Reno at the Peppermill, with tax they are $45.00 each. I wanted to get a couple extra in case we get more people to attend. Please let me know if this ok.

I'll put the word out on NAM to see if there are any eastern washington
MINIs who want to meet up with us maybe around Portland... It
wouldn't be the fastest route for them, but maybe there is somewhere
else to meet.
