Hi everyone!
I've gotten a number of questions about the forum calendar recently and wanted to respond to the wider audience.

Yes, the forum calendar, which is the "Events" link up above there, shows weird stuff. It does not show events way in the future and it's showing the Guidelines as an event every day from now until the end of the year. This is kind of by design.

Want to know what's going on in 2014? Follow this link for the 2014 printable calendar. We made the decision last year that a one page printable list of events helps a lot more then paging month by month. So that link is the most up to date. We make an announcement in the forums when we update it. You can also print it and hand it to your MINI friends (in fact we encourage this).

The link to that calendar is in the Guidelines post which is why we've tagged it on every day of the forums calendar.

So where are the events way in the future? Part of the problem with the forum calendar is it's directly tied to forum posts. If there is no thread started the event won't land on the calendar. Since we don't announce the event on the forum until all the details are available this makes the forum calendar not as useful as it could be. We've got a lot of website upgrades in front of us and the calendar is certainly one of them.

For now, we ask everyone to use the one page PDF as the "calendar". It's now linked directly from the home page as well.

Thanks for your support!
