Ed just remember that there is no rev limiter on the down shift and learning this can be hard on the clutch. But it is very usefull and impressive when you master the skill.

Wait, how is this advanced? You should always rev match and double clutch when you shift down.

Or is that what happens when you learn to drive on a car with crappy syncros?

He's doing it the hard way. Check this article out. It's a much simpler foot position and works with most stiff soled shoes.

It defiantly takes practice, and it helps if your awake, not on the way to work. Ermm
