My wife and I are going to autocross at the Evergreen Speedway in Monroe this Friday if anyone else want to go here is the info:

$30 for driver, $15 for passenger.  Helmets required.

Tech inspection and meeting starts at 6:30

I've been on the track before but never in my MINI so I am very excited, so is my wife.  It would be great to get some other MINIs there.  Email me at jeffro61@hotmail.com if you are interested.

Good luck with that.  The guy running it has a good idea, but doesn't really have the details down.  Evergreen speedway is too small to use the power in your car...  Unless you are out on the oval.

If you want to come to a real autocross, we will be running in Packwood on April 22nd and 23rd.   And in Everett on May 13th and 14th.

The May 13th date is a Novice school.  If you are interested I will post more info.

Thanks for the info.  Yeah, they are new to it, but I am sure it will still be fun.  At least the price is good and it is near Seattle.  Please do post more info on the events you listed though.

I should have listened to you guys, it was lame.  The track was tiny and right when i got up to the starting line it started pouring down rain.  They are so unorganized plus 3/4 of the drivers wanted to do drifting not autocross so it was kind of a free-for-all.  It was fun skidding around the cones in the rain I guess, but I would have much rather worked on precision and control.  Drifting seems to be the opposite, going around the track out of control.

Thanks for the Everett info, I think I will try that one out.

The Novice school on May 13th will have a Ground School on Friday the 12th. The Ground school will go over all the theory, so that you can work on the driving on Saturday.

More information will be posted, including how to sign up, on www.wwscc.org and on www.nwr-scca.org

On a side note,  we met after the Best of the Northwest Arts Festival at Magnuson Park in November...  I was with my buddies in a blue WRX

Really?  November was a long time ago so please forgive my memory and remind me.  How did we meet?  Common friends or something?

You were standing next to your car, we walked up and admired it.  Your car is hard to forget.  :)
