    Posted: March/28/10 at 7:45pm
I came back from Idaho with 10 2 Oz. containers of Sanchem, Inc. NO-OX-ID "A SPECIAL" Electrical Contact Grease ( http://www.sanchem.com/aSpecialE.html ) which I am selling for $5.00 each.  This is high grade stuff with lots of uses at home and in cars, boats, airplanes, etc.  2 Oz. should be a lifetime supply for most of us as the ideal recommended thickness is a one molicule thick coating...   First ten responders get them.  If response is overwhelming I may be able to get a few more.

So is this the preferred thing to use on spark plug and coil terminals instead of silicone dielectric grease?

Larry - It is for general use on electrical connections - I am going to look into use in ignition contacts and will post what I find out as soon as I have something.

A dielectric grease would be used on the boots covering the terminals to help seal and keep moisture, etc. out.  The conductive grease Jack has, would be used on the metal terminals to insure constant, clean conductor contact.

BTW Jack, I'll take one!

Thanks.

Is this a black market item that you have to cross state lines to acquire or did you just find a really good sale in Idaho?

Ken what are your thoughts on it helping with the #3 stock coil post problem? I was not considering using it to replace the dielectric grease but to work with the plug and coil posts.

That brings to mind an interesting picture of Jack and CINIMIN out running the Revenuers to get a load of grease across the border. LOL

That is precisely what came to mind.  That and maybe a little dielectric grease on the boot should keep it from happening again!
