My wife had the great privelage of utilizing the Dunlop Run-Flats courtesy of
the I-405 construction this evening... Anybody know of where I can get it
fixed? Does Schwab or Discount Tire fix them? I know its not punctured
through the sidewall, but I havent found the culprit yet. The manual says to
not fix them, but I dont see why they cant be fixed at least once if able to do
so... (especially at $288 a piece from Tire Rack)

Thanks,
Brad

Nevermind.... Just found the other thread... It seems that both Discount and
Schwab fix them...

Baxter,

I just bought a friend for our Hyper Blue 06 conv, an 06 MCS prem/sport/cold Chili Red w/white and tiptoeing on run flats.  What will Les Schwab do?  What kind of repairs will they do?  For future reference.

They will fix them if they are fixable... Just like a normal tire, they cant fix them in the sidewalls, but everything else is just fine... Seems to me they charged $10 or something like that, but hey that beats ponying up $300 for a new runflat...

The highly ratedDYNAPLUG® TIRE REPAIR KIT used to only be sold online. You can pick it up now in Harbor Freight Tool stores. Luckily I haven't needed mine yet, but I made sure to order it (before HFT sold it) prior to a road trip. Along with some pliers to remove the offending item and a 12V pump, I feel a little better knowing I should be able to repair small punctures.

I knew I could count on you guys (guys used in a general way, not to offend any females).  After I posted my question I asked my local Les Schwab and they said basically the same.

I have read here of swapping non run flats for their run flats but what happens when you get a flat or blow out sidewalls (like what happened on our Hyper Blue Cooper Cabrio's Continentals) and you can't fix 'em and no spare on your "S".?

And why wqont this thing accept my photo for uploading?  Keeps telling me that it is not a proper file format.  It's a JPEG for pete's sake.

If you blow out a sidewall... You call MINI roadside assistance... Or AAA... And waste half a day.

I dumped my run flats and carry a can of tire goo and a mini compressor in my boot (fist perfectly in the left side storage cubby).  A blow out would be ugly but it's a rare occurance on any newer car since tires have evolved so much.  I keep my fingers crossed on that one (and am knocking on wood as I type this).
