My lawn is getting brown so that can only mean one thing: Lots of PSMINI event planning has occurred!

We’ve got a tightly packed set of events coming up with some overlapping dates. There is something for everyone with plenty of time to RSVP and join us at one or all of them. Let’s get excited. Let’s Motor! Here we go:

June 28th Twists & Turns Rally! An event our members look forward to every year takes you through some twists and then turns in King and Snohomish county all the while answering trivia along the way. Destination is Triple-X Burger in Issaquah where prizes and fame will be awarded. Navigators are required! Find your navigator or driver and RSVP here http://www.psmini.org/forum/2014-twists-turns-rallypresented-by-psmini_topic10575.html

First Wednesday dinner! The July dinner is still in the planning phase and we could use your feedback. Do you want to “bend the rules” and do 2nd Wednesday this month? Vote here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/PSMINI/permalink/10152114295962120/?qa_ref=qd

July 5th & 6th PSMINI presents A Patriotic Weekend in Goldendale. This would traditionally be our “This Is Stonehenge” event but because of a scheduling conflict we’ve shuffled this one up a bit. We will be touring the museum, doing dinner, and then a wine swap on Saturday. Sunday is the world famous Maryhill Loops Road. Have you driven the road? Now’s your chance! Smiles guaranteed or your money back (there is no cost for the road this year). More info and RSVP here:http://www.psmini.org/forum/psmini-presents-a-patriotic-weekend-in-goldendale_topic10568.html

July 4th, 5th, & 6th is the 26th annual Historic Races at Pacific Raceways. Love racing? Love vintage cars? Then there will be no better place on earth to be standing over the 4th weekend (except maybe Goldedale).

July 5th! PSMINI will be at the Historic Races at Pacific Raceways. We’ll have a both on the lawn in the car corral. Please stop by for a snack, talk MINIs, bring your friends, hangout, etc. Want to take a parade lap around Pacific Raceways? Reach out to our very own Ashley and she can set you up. More info http://www.psmini.org/forum/psmini-goes-to-the-historic-vintage-races_topic10619.html

But wait! Arn’t we in Goldendale that weekend? Isn’t “arn’t” not a word? Did I just use a double negative? Good eye slugger. Yes, we are overlapping the Goldendale/Maryhill Loops Road and the Historic Races. We understand this is a big bummer for some of you and apologize for that. PSMINI is hosting both events and both events will be the good times you’ve come to expect from PSMINI. We did not want to cancel Maryhill and had to make the hard decision to split that weekend. If you want to make it a MINI holiday come out to beautiful Goldendale with us. If Historic Racing is more your speed then we’ll see you at Pacific Raceways. We’ve got you covered all weekend!

Right on the heels of the 4th weekend is MTTS and the ABFM… it’s still July! We are still going strong:

July 23d marks the epic start to the epic warm-up to an epic rally hosted by MINIUSA. MINI Takes The States is a 15 city rally across the country starting in San Francisco. To kick off this epic event, PSMINI is hosting something we call the “Warm-Up Run”. This is a 3 day tour from Northwest MINI in Fife down to the bay area where MINIUSA will kick-off MTTS with a big party. “I was there!” is really what you’ll want to say come July 26th when over 500 MINIs start the first leg of MTTS on our way to Reno. Join us, make history, and party in MINI style: http://www.psmini.org/forum/mtts-2014-warmup-run-to-san-francisco_topic10480.html

July 26th Can’t join us for the epicness of MTTS? Then you’ll want to be part of the All British Field Meet. PSMINI worked with PSBAAA this year and we’ve got an info both next to the MINIs. Show your MINI or just stop by and say hello. Again, bring your friends and let’s celebrate all things MINI. http://www.psmini.org/forum/psbaa-invites-psmini-to-abfm_topic10594.html

OK, take a breath, because we’ve reached the end of July and right in time too because the biggest event of the year is August 17th!

August 17th PSMINI Car Show! That’s right it’s back and BIGGER than ever! New venue, new categories, new MINIs, new stories to share…   This one is going to be big folks. As the only MINI and Mini focused car show in the Northwest this is the show your MINI dreams about all year long. Registration starts the end of June http://www.psmini.org/forum/psbaa-invites-psmini-to-abfm_topic10594.html

OK, are you more excited than ever to be a MINI owner? I’ve got to go water the lawn now. No, never mind, the lawn can die. I’m going to go wash the MINI. And you know what? Nothing says “summer” like washing your MINI while wearing this: http://www.cafepress.com/psminiorg.943997140 See you real soon everyone!

Hey, how can you forget about the 4th of July parades? I know it's a busy month, but where else can you weave back and forth on city streets, decorate your car with flags and stickies, and hang out with other cool MINI's.

Burien parade starts at 3:00, meet up at Han's Delicatessen, parade down the street to thunderous applause and the delighted squeals of children, and end up with a twisty drive down by the water at Three Tree Point.

All MINI's welcome, decorate your car as much or as little as you like, and enjoy this Friday parading!

Please note that the 4th of July parades are organized by individual members and not by the Puget Sound MINI Motoring Club, our officers, or our Events Committee. More info about the parades can be found in the You Create It and Name It forum using this link http://www.psmini.org/forum/burien-4th-of-july-parade_topic10621.html

Thank you to everyone who helps coordinate and hosts the parades. I know many members look forward to them every year.
