Hello all,
We've had a couple of exciting days. We finally got our mini after starting the order process last May. My wife and I and 2 sons picked up our mini last night from Brad at NW Mini (highly recommend Brad) and spent 2 hours there going over every feature of the car.
Today, the driving gods were smiling on me because my work required me to trek from Covington to Bellingham. On this trek, I learned a couple of important lessons:
1) Don't drive in ANYONE'S blind spot. I had to test the brakes twice due to others changing lanes into me.
2) A mini changes the way you think about driving. I found my self thinking about the funnest route home rather than quickest.
And this was just day 1! We look many more adventures in our mini and look forward to meeting other club members.

Welcome to the group - you are going to enjoy it here.
Do you you know about the rally event this Sunday being put together by Ian of NW MINI? Check out the get together forum for details. Probably not too late to get signed up and an excellent way to meet some of the members here. Even if you can't do the full rally you might be able to stop by NW MINI around 10:00 Sunday morning for the get together before the rally starts.

Congratulations and welcome to the club. Brad was our MA as well and we agree that he is an excellent Advisor. Enjoy the ride...it just gets better and the club is really a fun bunch! Oh, and I assume since you are up in B'ham you will be taking Chuckanut Drive pretty frequently now!

Congrats and welcome. Maybe we'll see each other about, as I live in Maple Valley, and get over to Covington a fair amount. Especially since Kohls just opened, and the wife has been going nuts with the commercials but not having one in the area til now. ;)

Welcome abroad. There's a great road going to Diablo Lake that you have to drive. You'll be even more hooked on driving your mini. Hope to meet you at one of the events.

I have had my Mini for only two and a half months. The perma-grin  is still there, and the lead foot hasn't let up yet. I am addicted to accelleration.

I forgot to thank Convington Mini in my initial post. I believe it was him that we met in the Covington Fred Meyer parking lot that convinced my wife that minis were a great vehicle and opened the dooor for us to get one. Thanks!
