Reputable person to replace tailgate lift supports

   Hello, 
I own a 2009 MINI Cooper S Hardtop. The lift supports (shocks) to keep the tailgate open have failed and it doesn't stay open. (Dangerous to say the least!) 

No offense, but I haven't had the best luck with the service department at the MINI Fife/Tacoma dealership and the Seattle shop is a very inconvenient drive.

Any suggestions/recommendations as to who could replace the lift supports?
