That was an excellent clinic.  Mike @ Griots saved me what I thought would be a $500 repaint to what turned out to be an easy polish job.  Now I have proper cleaning tools too!

Thanks to Dave for putting this together.  Sorry to have to bail on lunch, but the accounting server at the office calls...  DOOM it calls.

I had a great time, it was nice to see some faces from before and meet some new people.

Lunch was outstanding!

I guess I'll get the ball rolling by saying thanks to everyone involved in putting this together.  I had a great time spending my allowance for the month!

I second that. It was a blast!

And now I will spend all day tomorrow removing wax from my fenders

It was fun. I learned a lot. I got home and clayed a small part of the car and
the results were amazing. It as also good to meet everyone.

I got home and realized I forgot to pick up any polish for the orbital I won.
Doh!

Thanks to Jack, Dave and Meg for organizing the clinic and lunch.  As usual, we spent an obscene amount of money, but the orbital was $30 off and everything else was 10% off, so that makes it better, right???

Yes, thank you organizers! Very much appreciated. Great raffles, very informative, and tasty BBQ after. And thanks Mary for spotting me lunch! Next time I will remember not to leave my wallet in my gym bag...

And of course I got home and cleaned my car. Now it's all shiny on the outside. I just have to vacuum up all the fall leaves and stuff on the inside!  Be right back!

Great time today. Thanks Jack and Dave. I learned a lot and spent a bit too. Go figure. Anyway, I passed on my armor-all and turtle wax to my 16-year old for his ride...restocked my garage with the good stuff!

Missed out yet another event, but the Wife and Son both got sick last night.  Before anyone suggests 'why didn't you just come without the wife'... It was our 11th wedding anniversary... I didn't want it to become my last day on Earth!

Glad everyone who was able to attend had a good time.  For those who missed it, I'm sure we'll be ready for another in the spring.

Can't say enough about the crew at Griots - they really do a great job of demonstrating the products and making it a fun event.

I would like to add that anybody can get an event started.  If you have an idea or suggestion for an event or get-together post it on the drive / events suggestions forum and see what kind of response you get.

Thanks to everyone that showed up.  It was a great day.  It was great to meet the new members and get the name tags out.

I like the fact that Griot's has raffled off a buffer at the last two events.  Also, the three demo machines that were marked down to $99.00 were gone pretty quickly.

As far a lunch went, it was great and for $10.00 a person we got a ton of food.  I believe everyone took some home.  I stayed to make sure the bill was all taken care of and it was perfect.  I made sure they got a really nice tip on the end also .
Needless to say PORTER's Place really took great care of us.  I think we need to have lunch with them at least once a year.  If you are inTacoma and want a real treat stop by Porter's Place it is worth the money.

We shoudl all gather on Dixie's up in Bellevue one day, too.  Same as Porter's Place, just a different name and location.  Of course, parking may be "interesting", but hey, we're a bunch of MINIs.  We can fit.  ;)

Dixie's would be nice but they have wierd hours, they are mainly open for lunch and not normally open on the weekend.  Gene Porter is the owner and his son Alton started Porter's Place.

Convince F1 to swap places with Expedia. It'd be a 15 minute commute for me then.

Yeah, I'm not thinking I have much pull over here at "F5"  ;)  Much as that would shorten my commute to 40 minutes.

Yes, this is true.  Beer Friday from 3:00 to 6:00.  Not that I get much chance to show my face down there lately, but the option is still there.  ;)
