Sounds like Qandelf has a group forming over there and heading out together.  He may be able to answer some of the meeting, other than the two main points, questions.

50 Mini's

Updated the list, Meg and I will make part of the drive.  We will go to Yakima and return when the group heads to Wenatchee.  If everyone shows up the group count will 50.

If anyone would like any products from GOMINIGO please let me know ahead of time, we will not be carrying any product.

Received MC2 magazine today and on page 88 there is a very informative article on traveling with groups.  It is titled 'Safety in Numbers, Tips on Touring with a Group' by Gary Anderson.  It has tips for both tour leaders and participants.  Good read especially since we are going to have such a large tour group next weekend headed for Western Washington.

Some planning notes for the trip.  Pay special attention to concerns associated with the heat and be sure you're prepared.  We don't want to lose anyone to heat exhaustion (people or MINIs!).

·         Please make sure you have a full tank of gas as we start each day.

·         FRS radios will be in use on channel 7 / sub channel 21.  Be sure to bring spare batteries.  Also, you'll probably find some stretches where you won't have cell phone service, so keep that in mind if you're relying on your cell phone for a call.

·         Carry extra water in the car as well as hats, sunscreen, bug repellent, etc. that you may need to fend off the heat and annoying critters.  Also make sure you have some snacks in the car, since some of the stretches are a long way between any food sources.

·         Bring your camera, take lots of pictures and plan on sharing.

·         Dinner on Saturday night and breakfast on Sunday morning will be on your own.

Define Mid Point.  A group will join the Northend group at 160th and 405 in the Kirkland area (about 8:15 to 8:30ish), and another will join at 405 and 167 (about 8:45 to 9:00 ish).  All depending on traffic.  If you look back through the other post I believe I saw some meeting times for these spots.
