This looks fun - count me in! I hope I won't be the only solo show coming, though.Smile

Zippie would fit in the dessert category, but I see there are no side dishes. My first name starts with N, so if no one has a problem with it, I'll bring a side salad, since we seem to be lacking in that department.

Looking forward to it!

I think you can count Sean and myself in for this run Wink sounds fun.  We'll have to bring the twins (they did pretty good yesterday at the Tulip Ralley - except for not letting us roll down the windows Cry - "too windy").   I think we'll definitely make a weekend out of it and stay up there - too long of a day with 3 year olds to drive all the way back to Ferndale.  Anyone else staying up there overnight?  I was thinking of trying out the remodeled Paradise...

Guess we're supposed to bring a main dish - but I don't mind signing up for a side dish since there are not very many of those yet.

Hey Tristan - Sean says I'm supposed to ask what you got for me in Vegas...

Count us in 2 for sure, possibly 3 (people, not cars)...Looks like we fall into the Main Dish category, but I can fill in wherever, how about I bring plates and utensils and napkins?

Count the Wilds in for this. Our first chance to go for a drive after T-ball season is over. I think I can talk Anne into whipping up some Key Lime pies for dessert.

Looks like the target date for opening 410 (Chinook Pass) and 123 (Cayuse Pass) is May 22, 2008.  No information posted on the road off 123 to Paradise as of yet.  I understand that Black Eyed Cabriot will be leading the group from the West and that the start off point will be somewhere in Enumclaw?  Looking forward to this run, always fun going up that way regardless what route.

Scoop and Cupcake should be there (not sure if 1 MINI or 2). I've put in for the day off work. Fingers crossed. Count us under "S" or "C," which ever is best for the needs of the group.

Sanaye, I believe Black Eye Cabrio is leading the west side.

Gina it is just a day trip over night is your choice.

The Moreys are coming... the Moreys are coming....   (1 if by Shazoom... 2 if by Escape Pod....)

Anyway, count us in for 2 people, 1 MINI.   Looks like we're a bit short on side dishes at this point, so I think we'll volunteer there (though it's probably the only alphabet range we don't qualify in one way or another).

I'll probably regret asking this, but do we have an estimated starting time for the West Side group caravan?

Just checked the DOT website http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/Traffic/Passes/Chinook/ and as of yesteday, BOTH passes are now scheduled to open May 22, though it could be delayed 'til "after the Memorial Day weekend."  That's cutting it awfully close...

Just now decided that I'm going to head out for a test run as far as the road will take me...

Anyone else who's not doing anything for Mothers' Day (mine's 2000 miles east of here) care to join me for a fun drive?

I'm planning on hitting I-5/512 about noon, then Buckley at about 12:30 and on to as far up/down 410 as they'll allow.  Home by 5, no sweat.

If you want to join me, post here before 11:10 or call 360-866-6881 anytime.

Yee HAW!

Drive went well!

I made it to the entrance to Crystal Mountain--beyond that, the road/park is closed.

Best place for all contingents of the west group to meet is in Enumclaw at the Rite Aid parking lot at the convergence of 162, 167, and 410.  It's 45 minutes from the Park and Ride at I-5 & 512 and 40 minutes to the park entrance at Crystal.

We'll make the Rite Aid parking lot a short meeting place, leaving at 9:05.  At 9:30 we'll stop at Wapiti Woolies in Greenwater for coffee, etc.  They know we're coming and looking forward to it--I'll call the week before and make sure they have enough pastries and the like.

Leaving there by 10 will give us plenty of time to get to Paradise by noon.

Johnf36--once they open Cayuse Pass, would you mind picking a spot for east and west groups to hook up for our arrival at Paradise?  Thanks!

For those who want to meet at the I-5/512 Park & Ride, we'll leave there at 8:10.  That'll put us at the Sumner/Orting exit at 8:25 for those who want to meet us there, and 8:50 in Buckley.

Any questions or suggestions, please ask Smile

Slightly different subject--lunch that day--is anyone who's bringing a main dish bringing something non-meat?  If not, I'll switch with someone and bring a meatless dish instead of beverages.  Milt, are you still looking for someone to swap?

My hubby and I will be meeting the group in Sumner/Orting.  Let me know if the 8:25 meeting time changes.  I'm counting down the days... WooHoo
