Just to be crystal clear:
There will be NO 9:05 departure from Enumclaw?

Also, I don't have a walkie talkie....How do I stay in contact with my group?
Is it neccessary for me to have a cell phone/walkie?

We are bypassing Enumclaw in favor of twisties.  Now leaving Rose's LGA in Buckley at 9:10

My cell number is 360-866-6881.  Call if you get turned around.  I have an extra radio for you from Buckley on...

The radios are helpful but not required. Usually someone has extras that they can loan you.

It's not mandatory but it helps to have a radio to listen to (even better if passenger does this). You can find a pair of Cobras on newegg.com for ~26-27$. I carry my cellphone on drives (with a group or while alone) - you won't need one 99 times out of 100 but I hate Murphy and his law.

We're finalizing things, but we'll eat in Packwood. The final decision is would everyone like to eat 1st since we'll all be driving for several hours.... You can get out, stretch, get business done then drive up, or drive up then come down from Rainier?
I'd love to hear what all of you think

I think I'm the official Extreme North Mini Route Planner for Saturday - so here it goes, please let me know if you would like to join in our our route (PM me).  I can modify the times/stops if needed Wink plus I think there is a good 10 minute window in times as planned depending on weather, speed capability due to # of mini's joining us etc...  I'll keep this post updated of any changes

Leave Ferndale 6:00 am (Extreme North point)

Mt Vernon 6:40

Everett around 7:20
Lynnwood Ash Park n Ride 7:30

Hit I405 around 7:40

Merge onto I167 S about 8:10

Merge on I410 East near Sumner around 8:30

Arrive in Buckley around 8:45

Currently I believe we have Rachelle in Mt Vernon and Suzann at the Ash Park-n-Ride joining us.  Jish can't make it.  WildFamily - are you going to join us or the venture down to the Seattle Crispy Creme's?

ps - side note - I vote for the Drive back up to Rainer after lunch in Packwood.  We are staying at Nisqually Lodge at the Paradise Entrance in Ashford...

Thanks all and See you Saturday!  Toni

Scoop,  I'll meet you guys at Krispy Kreme if that is still on.

And I'm with Groovetini, I'm in for the drive and am not too picky about destination.  Now I jst need to get my potluck item figured out......

MissMINI,

Since this is your first time out with the group, I suggest you meet the group at the 512/I-5 Park and Ride at AM and then motor with the group to the Buckley meeting place.  Folks from Seattle and west are meeting there.  It should be easy for you to come south from Pacific to the P&R.  Take the Hwy 512/South Tacoma Way exit and the P&R sits off S. Tacoma Way to the left after you exit.  You will see a McDonald's in the P&R area.

No cell or radio required, someone might have an extra radio they can loan.  If you are in group it is easy to follow along.  We usually drive an easy pace so all can enjoy.

I think we should go to Packwood to eat first and then wonder out to the various areas.  We will all have driven for quite sometime and will need to stretch and do a little 'show and tell'.  Great alternative plan guys, looking forward to the fun.

Sadly we can't make it.  I have to fly to Montreal tomorrow morning for work and I won't return until 10:30am at Seatac on Saturday.

It's a good news/bad news story though.  I'll miss the MINI drive but at the same time I hope to be able to sneak away from the office for a bit and take a 5 minute subway ride to catch some qualifying here http://www.grandprix.ca/home.html WooHoo

Needless to say, the hotel is costing a FORTUNE!!! Glad the company is paying.

FYI cell phones are useless from Wapato Woolies or before until Ashford or Packwood.

Hey I was wondering if it would be ok to bring something else along with my beverages. It seems like we have quite a bit of drinks and I don't care to bring something else.  Is this ok I don't want to step on any toes. I can't wait until SaturdayDrool

Gina: We're still on for Krispy Kreme. Depart at 7:20 (bring extra Diet Pepsi for this hour).
.
Others: Is there a plan for Sunday? If not, should we make one? I'd hate to motor alone on the way home.

I am sure it would be no problem if you brought something else.  It looks like there is going to be lots of everything and from past experience I know this group loves to eat, especially new things.  Looking forward to seeing and breaking bread with everyone.

Autocross on Sunday? We're debating if we can spare the only free weekend day this month for a 2 day MINI event. It would be a great time to check out autocross.

Sorry Anna, I wasn't sure what side to put you down for :-)
Thanks
Jill, just let me know what your going to bring and I'll put you in that catigory.
For those bringing Utensils, it would be good if we get a game plan so that napkins, plates, silverware and all gets brought. It would be bad if we have 2000 sporks and no plates to eat from ;-)

Okay, favor to ask.  Looks like I'm not going to be able to make it to this run Flaming but I have two items that I am supposed to pay for and pick up during the run.  By-pass valve from Keep Right and tensioner stop from WildFamily.  If someone in the Ballard area is going on the run and would be nice enough to be my "mule" I would be grateful.

Anyway, PM me if you can be so kind and we can arrange a pickup/drop off (I'll give you the money tomorrow or Friday and you can give me the goods on Sunday or sometime next week).

Alternatively, if Keep Right wants to pick up my tensioner stop and front me the 20 odd dollars, then we can meet up somewhere on Sunday on his way home that would work as well.

Rather than use disposables, I'm bringing flatware, utensils, and plates from home.

Will bring extra plates in case anyone would like to borrow one or two, as well as a couple big trash bags so we can colllect anything recyclable.

May need to keep top down on way home, even if it's snowing LOL

It will be nice to take the trip up to Paradise (maybe) in something other than this...

(actually, I only ever take this as far as Longmire on 7/702 Or Crystal Mt. on 410)  Is anybody planning on going to Paradise as we are now lunching in Packwood?

ABSOLUTELY!  Even though I was just there last Friday I am NOT driving that far only to pass up the best part--other than the camaraderie getting together with great people, that is Tongue

Oh yea, got to make the drive up to Paradise and I suspect most folks will also.  Should be a fun day full of fun, friends and minis.
