Hello,
Every summer in July & August, Redmond Town Center has a Summer Concert Series. This year we are hoping to have a car show in conjunction with our concert. We would love to have the Puget Sound Mini Motoring Club there! The date we looking to have the car show is Thursday, July 17 and we’d like to have the cars on the street from 6-9pm. We close off NE 74^th St. to all vehicle traffic though our Security staff can help direct cars on to the street.

This is now an official PSMINI Event - Fred (Pixel) has volunteered to be the event focal and will be working with the Redmond Town Center People to on the details.  We need to give this a lot of support since it will be a great opportunity to present our cars and our club to a great audience.  There will also be opportunities for others to be involved, especially on the day of the event.

Further news as events warrant. 6/23, 4:38pm - Heard back from Lauren!Hello Fred!Glad to have you on board! I am happy to answer any questions you have. I’m very excited to hear that we have 11 cars participating and of course, the more the merrier! All MC’s need to be in place by Gummy Lives 6pm as that is when the street will be closed off for the remainder of the evening. Cars can begin arriving at 5pm* and we will direct them into place. The street will have a soft open at 9pm to let cars out and all cars will need to be off the street by about 9:30pm. I have been thinking about getting a MC (and test drove one a few weekends ago!) so this will be a great educational opportunity for me as well!I look forward to working with you on this event and please, don’t hesitate to call or email with any questions or comments you may have. Thanks!Lauren Brendel NEWS FLASH!Woohoo! Get a load of this (from Lauren): Will anyone want any chairs? We set some up for the concert but want to know if I need to set some aside for anyone with PSMMC. Just as a FYI, the band playing that night is The Nowhere Men, (Music of the Beatles) so I think we’ll have a great evening with a high turnout. How awesome will this be??? I'll ask for chairs for all of you... --------NEWS FLASH: more from Lauren B.Additional chairs are not a problem--I have saved out two chairs for every Mini--any leftovers will just be put back in to the seating area in front of the stage. The Mini's will be parked on the West side of NE 74th St. (towards the Marriott). The best way to enter is from Bear Creek Parkway or NE 76th St. I have attached two PDF’s that show where to enter and park. Directions from Eastside cities along I-405:Exit NE 85th St (east to Redmond). Turn right onto Cleveland St. Turn right onto 166th Ave NE. Turn right on NE 76th. Turn left on 164th. Turn left on NE 74th St. From Seattle:Take I-5 to SR-520 (east to Redmond). Exit West Lake Sammamish Parkway and turn left at light. Turn right at Leary Way. Turn right at Bear Creek Parkway. Turn left at NE 74th St. From the Sammamish/Issaquah Plateaus:Take East Lake Sammamish Parkway to Redmond. Turn left on Redmond Way. Turn left on Bear Creek Parkway. Follow it around and turn right on NE 74th St. There will be white candles blocking thru traffic on NE 74th St. by Eddie Bauer. A security officer (or myself) will be there to move candles as Mini's are arriving. All Mini's must be in place by 6pm as that is when the candles will be replaced with bollards. 	I am interested but will have to check my work schedule. Everyone, if you say your are going to make the event PLEASE do everything you can to do so. I worked with Lauren last year on this event and we had about a dozen people RSVP only to have all but two cancel two days before the event. Most could not make it because it is a work/week night. Needless to say I had to call her and tell her we could not do the event (closing down the street for three cars just wasn't the right approach). 	Loved Von Dutch and Roth stuff - Saw a kid wearing a Von Dutch t shirt and asked him if he knew who Von Dutch was and he had not a clue... Had a Rat Fink University sweat shirt in the early 60's - wish I still had it. Loks like a good turnout of MINIs - thanks everyone for supporting the club and this event...
