How big was that group from So Cal??
Were they the ones that got ticketed 10 at once??
We have to start getting reenforcements from PDX as well. Brian Cone would appreciate some company including us.

I'd say it's not too early to start. After all, the website is up and the Palace Station is already taking reservations.
And by the way boys, I think I was the fastest bat out of he11 from Jackpot to Vegas this past year (136mph) and last I checked I am most definitely a girl. Girls like to drive fast too!

You guys make me laugh! We've got to be the funniest MINI group in the country. I'm trying to convince Rich that since he went last year and I stayed home, that this year, it's my turn. For some reason, he's not buying my idea. Might be time to start working on getting a babysitter for the farm so we can both go.

Wow Kristin… I had no idea that you let Rich drive your MINI down to Vegas without you. I find that shocking! I don't think I'd let my hubby do that... Now that's showing some spousal love and trust.

One other thing, since we've been down this road before: Talk of speed/speeds obtained/places they've been obtained/places people are planning on obtaining them is not a good idea on an open public forum.
ONLY mentioning this since the topic comes up on the board every once in a while and we receive a reminder about speaking of such things. NOT mentioning this because I want to be a drag, a nag, or an arse.

You boys crack me up!!! At least now I know I'm not the only one who gives the evil eye everyonce in awhile.
And - speaking of flying - if we can make it work, I'd love to join Andy and fly for the weekend and let Sean drive with the boys and ladies - I'd love to also drive (supervise  ) but getting a babysitter for a whole week is not very likely (1-800-Grandma has it's limits) (and maybe it'd be better for the marriage )

It looks like quite a few people (not just of the female persuation) are looking to fly. When they start allowing booking of flights in March, a thread should be started for the flying group to coordinate.
Can you imagine a PS MINI contingent on a plane  ???
One thing I have to say 4 small people would be my limit of pick up capacity at the airport. A LIMO should be considered for 6 or more.

Item 2 - Method of Travel - I honestly can't decide which is better. Fly with the girls or drive with the boys. Since I'm the lead foot in the family, you might want me behind the wheel. But flying to Vegas and getting picked up in a MINI? That's mighty sweet. I can't decide. I can't decide. Who pays the ticket? The driver, you say? I might need to fly.

Last year we stayed at Barton's Club 93 and it was inexpensive but the casino people were very grumpy. I called them again this year for quotes and the person has not called me back. So I vote that we stay at Cactus Pete's across the street.
The rates are $74.52, includes all taxes, for the tower attached to the casino and $52.92, includes all taxes, for the horseshoe (this is an adjacent building with a shuttle if needed).
We can split the room availability between both places to allow flexibility.
Cactus Pete's is a little nicer and the people are more pleasant so I vote for Cactus Pete's but I am putting it our there.
FYI Cactus Pete's is located in Jackpot NV
