Signed up for AM. Dean Martin: Can we drive down together? Any time when the AM would be done? I've got an afternoon/evening thing I gotta do. Also, since it's my first time, what should I bring? Chair and some cash? And where do you get your window number clingy things -- I'm 829 (for my birthday). 67 wasn't avaii=lable.

OK, I'm rambling ...

Cool Mark! Glad you are going to make it!
Bring: chair, water, sunscreen, tire gauge, cash or check (they take cash or check for registration) but you might want some cash if you want to buy a burger on site. Dean and I will have an air-compressor if you need it. Generally the AM session wraps up around 12:00-12:30 at the latest depending on how many cars register for the AM. Ordered our window cling numbers on-line, but won't be able to get them to you by the weekend unless you pay express shipping (not worth it). I have some white shoe polish you can use for your numbers on your windows.

Tech will have the shoe polish for you number, or you can print out the numbers (there is a link with the email) and you can tape the inside you windows.

The only real prep you need is to make sure your car is empty. Take everything out that isn't nailed down.

I'm running SS class so I am in the afternoon session, working first, running second.

whoo hoo! let me know if there's a caravan (coffee and/or doughnut meeting spot preferred). I don't like to lead. Prefer to follow and/or get out of the way.

I'll have to see if I can play, too.

I used blue masking tape to make my own numbers at the 7/5 session.  Worked out just fine for my purposes.  ;)

Blue tape is preferable to window chalk, since it is much more legible on the side of the car.

I don't know, with Scooop being blue, blue tape may not be the best choice. If you put the numbers in blue tape on the rear windows, it may be OK.

Scoop!!  Glad to see you are going to make it!  We will be driving back from Mt. Hood, and are going to spend the night down near the track so we won't be able to be part of the caravan..  but looking forward to running with you on Monday!!

That's what I did.  Besides, blue painters tape isn't nearly the same shade as Indi Blue.

Picked up some magic car white marker stuff & some black numbers on whilte vinyl tonight. We'll see how this works out.

Eric: Are you still considering? Let me know for caravan purposes (no worries).  Looks like Wilds/Charleys will be spending the night due to prior commitments.

I'll be there!  Since I missed the online registration (ended last night, dang it), I'll just register there.

Mark, want to meet somewhere on the way there?  Especially since I need a refresher on exactly where this is in the Bremerton area?  :)

You bet. Lemmee look over the directions and figure out time/place for meeting. You're coming from the Eastside, no?

Wanna meet at the Starbucks in Fife (east side of I-5) that folks usually meet at? Say at 7 a.m.? Gives us time to be there for registration, which is from 7:30-8:30 a.m. I think it'll take about 45 minutes to get to the track from that Starbucks.

7:00 am, Fife Starbucks.  Sounds good.  And it should only take us 45 if we don't... uhhh,... "properly warm up our tires".  Yeah, that's it.  "Warm up the tires."

Was fun having some fellow PSMINI folks out at Bremerton today. We had a good turnout with Scoop, Phydeaux, Charley and the BadS at the AM session and Garumph turning out for the PM session. It was a long AM session due to way too many cars and lots of new folks on the track so we were limited to only 3 runs each. Long and fast course was very challenging..I sucked, but my buddies did well. Good times!  Here are a few shots (minus Garumph since he ran PM and we all left after AM was done (after 3pm!!!)...

Nobody stuck around for me. Cry It was fun riding with Scoop.

Not a stellar day for the Bremerton Sports Car Club. I did not get on the track until 5:00. The course was great. They took out the last C box for the afternoon run group so they could put more than 2 cars on the course at once. With only 3 (3! @#@$#%!) runs the afternoon group started at 4:00 and was done a little after 6:00. I think my best time was 72.6 something with one cone so around 74.6 adjusted. There was a lot of speed on that course. I bounced it off the rev limiter on the back side right before the tripple cone slolom.

I think next year I will focus on the SCCA events. BSCC has had some slow days, but this was too much.

Thanks everyone for helping and encouraging the rookie! It's always fun hanging around a bunch of cars. A bit of a drag, though, when I didn't get to make my first run until 6 hours after Eric and I arrived. Might explain some of the missed gates (or the fact that I kept thinking slaloms were simply cones to follow on one side or the other LOL)

 Groupies!

Look at that S car go!

This was so cool

Gordon was a good sport!

It was a long day, but fun...   Enjoyed watching Scoop make his autocross debut!    EVERYONE did great - as has been said, the course was long and difficult this time.    Looking forward to October for the last of the season!

Guess that would account for the higher turnout.  214 pre-registered, and probably easily 250 cars or more.

Results are posted for BMCC #7. Removing the C box for the afternoon run made a couple second difference.
