George does give a 10% discount to PSMINI members... If that helps, essentially takes care of shipping... I put a note in the notes column of the order form online and he gave me the discount...

I have one, and DON'T want to sell it.  You will like it when you get one.  You might think about gutting the airbox as well...

Come on Pat, Why will I love it and gut the Airbox. Like what do you mean.... Remove the flapper and remove the extra filter thingy in the box?
What about all the hoses?

I don't recall exactly why I don't have any hoses left.  I think I just plugged where the vacuum line to the airbox fits.  The flapper is gone, all the system that hooks up to the flapper, whatever else.  The electrical connection was tied back out of the way.

I didn't really notice any performance increase (except to my wallet every time I clean the filter vs replace the $225 filter), but love the increased sound.

I think you can find the stock filter cheaper than at the dealer (best I found was $179), but whatever the price, it is still stupidly high.

Steve... Tell the truth now... You heard how cool my car sounded, and how it had way more HP than your car at the RMW tune, so you are trying to get one of these to be just like me??? It's ok, I have always been a trend setter to people in Everett!!!

Yes, I admit that I thought your car sounded cool. but as I started off with 4 more HP than you, I am guessing that I ended up that way..even without the Fancy Filter...
have a great weekend

You might try Helix http://www.helix13.com/mini/products/engine-intake
69 dollars if you want I can find a K&N. Sorry but 100 bucks for a rechargeable filter is bull. As far as I am concerned  69 is to much.

John
As usual, you come though again... I think that $100 is too much for a filter as well, I was not going to buy one at that price..

Any idea on how much their (Helix) 380 injectors are?

no problem, but I believe you can find the K&N for a little cheaper.
