By a slim margin, the poll indicates Sunday November 16th for our trip out to the Olympic Peninsula and Neah Bay. Meet up times to follow.

Hmmm. I keep meaning to go Foks out there ... I at least could go at one way with y'all. Maybe. It's a long haul.
(As matter of fact, a movie set in Forks but filmed down in Oregon opens a week later ...)

Yeah, what poll? I get back from the Philippines on the 15th and leave for the Bay Area on the 17th, so as tempting as it is to join you, I'm gonna have to pass... Have a GREAT run!

We will be in Ocean Shores doing a gig on Sat night (15th) so we could catch you on the road. We will need more details about the route.

We're probably going to meet at the parking lot in Fife across from NW MINI fairly early Sunday morning. Now that Halloween is here and my costume is as good as it's going to get, I can get back to working on it. I'll post more information next week.

Mr. Booklady and I will probably drive out on Saturday and spend the night. We can meet you out there for some driving, eh?

I forgot to mention I did this drive with the BMW club (in BF's BMW) in August and it was a BLAST!!!
I
like the idea of speed related groups too, I think I would be in the
middle unless the bf drives then we would be in the fast group LOL
If you do the walk down to the lookout then bring boots for walking in mud, I messed up some cute sneakers on the BMW drive.
I would like to meet up with the group at Fat Smitty's at the Junction of Hwy 20 and 101, unless anyone is coming out of PT, then we could figure out another meeting spot.
If anyone wants to come into PT the day/night before let me know, if you don't mind cats you can crash in my guestroom :)

Sorry, Don (and everyone else). It's been kind of a wild week here on the farm.
I was thinking Hwy 16 to 3 to 104 to 101, then out to Neah Bay & back and on down 101 to Hoquiam and then 12 back to I5 south of Olympia. Because of the Olympic National Park and low population density, there really aren't any alternate routes that I could see. I was thinking of starting at the parking lot across from NW MINI in Fife since that gives us easy on/off the freeway.
How early does everyone want to start? It's going to be a long, fun day, so the earlier we get going, the better. I could start any time after 7:00 a.m., but that's because I'm a morning person. Thoughts?
Nicole - once we figure out a start time, we can figure out when to meet you at Discovery Bay. If you've got any lunch suggestions for good/fast/cheap food out that direction, that would be great, too, for anyone who doesn't want to pack a lunch.
I will have time this weekend to do more fine tuning on this.

Here's an idea....
We need to start early so let's all meet at the Kitsap Memorial Park on hwy3 south of the Hood Cannael bridge at about 8 am. From there go 104, 101, 112 to Neah Bay (arrive about noon), have a quick lunch then back down to 101 on 113 accross to 104 and back down 3 to Silverdale. With an arrival time in Silverdale at about 3:30 we could then say good bye at the Silver City Brewing by the Mall (it is kid friendly). That allows the north end to use the ferries.

Thanks, Pete!
Those of us coming from Oly/Tacoma want to meet somewhere first? (Maybe the Starbucks at the I-5/512 interchange?)

I'd be coming from Seattle and could take any of the ferries over (Kingston, Bainbridge, Bremerton, or even Southworth). Would anyone be interested in meeting up and riding the ferry together?

Your Welcome and starbucks is a great idea. If we depart there at 7:00 we should be at the park on time.
If anyone wants a set of directions for the drive pm me your e-mail and I will send you a word doc with the directions and map details. Let's start putting a count togather of who's going and where we will find you so we don't miss anyone.

Gina,
We were thinking of taking the Edmonds-Kingston, since we're up north a bit (Phinney). Coffee and a ferry?
