This looks great!
As for lunch out in Neah Bay there isn't any place that I know of. There is a BBQ place in Port Angeles that is supposed to be really good but I have not eaten there yet... When I did the BMW run we just packed lunches and ate after a little hike down a hill to some picnic benches at Neah Bay. It was nice but depending on the weather people may or may not want to do that...

just became a member and saw this posting for a drive to Neah Bay.
We're interested ... would meet you at the Kitsap Memorial Park by 8:20 next Sunday morning. We've both been down with colds so if we're back to normal by then,
this would be our first trip with you!

We will start Nov 16th at the Kitsap Memorial Park on hwy3 south of the Hood Cannael bridge departing at 8:25 am. From there go 104, 101, 112, re-group at 113 and on to Neah Bay (arrive about noon), have a quick lunch then back down to 101 on 113 accross to 104 and back down 3 to Silverdale. With an arrival time in Silverdale at about 3:30pm we could then say good bye at the Silver City Brewing by the Mall (it is kid friendly). That allows the north end to use the ferries.

I'm really vascillating about going or not. Larry won't be able to go. It does sound like fun though. Could you put me down tentatively meeting the southenders at 512 & I5? I'll make up my mind and firm it up before the date.

I know it's only Monday and this is Washington in November, but the forcast for Forks for Sunday is only a 20% chance of rain. Anybody still sitting on the fence - we'd love to have you join us!

per the Weather Channel, it looks like we'll have a nice day ... that said, I sincerely hope I didn't jinx it!! With regard to lunch ... we've done this route by motorcycle a few years ago and there was a place on Hwy 101 WEST of PA ... if you take the route from Joyce/PA west towards Sappho/Forks, then turn back east on Hwy 101 there was a place with "Bear" in the name ... Hungry Bear, Grizzly Bear, something like that. It's on the south side of the highway. I can check to see if it's still in existence.
Also a question: will we have trouble getting back onto Hwy 3 out of Kitsap Memorial Park? Would it be easier to meet at the parade grounds in Port Gamble - it's only a little farther north and we'd then be making a right turn back onto the highway so no problem with traffic.

just a bit of searching found that the restaurant I was thinking of is The Hungry Bear Cafe and it's on Highway 101 and is actually in Beaver, WA ... I phoned and they are open on Sunday. So this is just an option if there are no other easy places to locate :-)

Not sure on the resturaunt last timewe did this there was a new one accross from the grocery store. If not the Hungrey Bear will work great. Thanks
As for getting out of the park... yes it can be slow, but there is enough sholder once out to re group and the setting is great for pictures.

Sorry that I was not able to make the South-end group at 7:00am. I had full intentions at 10:00pm when I went to bed, but woke up at 2:00am w/ a sore throat w/ sinus and chest congestion. That was the last time I slept last night. It was particulary dissapointing when I saw my new digital camera, walkie talkie, and sun glasses on the kitchen table this morning. The weather looks good and I hope that everyone had a fun and safe trip. Maybe next year...
