Well - I've tried every which way but can't seem to reset my oil service indicator - any clues?
Here's what I've tried so far:
Resetting Oil Service Light on your 2002 - 2006 MINI Cooper and Cooper S, and 2007 - 2008 MINI Convertibles: If that didn't work, try this: 1. Push the Trip Button Or this: 1. Press and hold the trip odometer button. |

Dave - are you getting the "RESET" or "51A" after the first one or two steps?

My observation (could be wrong) is that different MINI's seem to have the on board computer programmed differently, thus the different reset procedures. Unless somebody knows better, there also seems to be no rhyme or reason as to what car has what reset procedure. My car, for example, does not respond to the reset procedure for the brake fluid change indicator. Make a note of which oil reset works for next time. I forgot to do that, but now that we have two MINIs I am getting a scan tool to do the resetting for me.
