I see that MINI Meet West (MMW) is in Prescott, AZ and that it is scheduled within two days after AMVIV ends. I wonder if they had planned it that way so that we can attend both? Big smile

So I'm already planning on going to AMVIV. Might bring a few new MINI friends along. Let me know when the committee gets together to plan as I'd like to help. Really do hope the weather is better this year

I don't know that we have every formed a committee on this, it has either been just picking a leave date and going or a few people in the past have made adventures out of the trip. The weather should be alot better having it late in June.

Hi Ryan and Tracy,

Long time no see, will you be at the Christmas Party?   45 degrees seems warmer than I remember.   A number of us are talking about doing Mini Takes The Mountains, or Mini Takes The States, this year instead of AMVIV, are you interested?

Silly busy summer for us but YES, we'll be at the Christmas party.

Tracey has tight requirement for her vacation days in '12 but I'm more flexible. We'd obviously like to do something together and AMVIV was our default but we are open to suggestion.

See you Sunday.

Tracey and I were at AMVIV6 but she was living in San Jose at the time so we drove from there. I remember the wind more then cold during 6. I've been to Vegas in December and that truly was cold. I much prefer June.

Jack,

I did a number of the March trips.  On the way we ran into some snow more than once and Vegas was ccccccold!

We?? Are you and Candus planning the drive? That would be AWESOME!! I'd like to make a trip to Bryce Canyon. We may leave earlier though because I'd like to do some hiking there and also check out the Grand Canyon skywalk bridge. http://www.grandcanyonskywalk.com/

I'm trying to get June 21st off work so I can attend MMW too. Then I'll have from June 6 to the 26th off for a major road trip.

Sounds great Brenda, but we were looking at something different, Bryce Canyon would be geat that time off the year.

I am with you on this one Jack!!  We are FOG people, and prefer rust to sweat...

I wish there was a local MINI Dealership, like our Honda, Subaru, Mazada and VW.

We don't have anything finalized, but roughly we are looking at a straight shot, Straight through Oregon and then splitting Navada in half.

How many days do you all usually allow for this? Was putting it on my list but not sure what a good number of days for down and back it is. Ive done 2 roadtrips down there, but both were a long story and i wouldnt try and replicate them

Wish I could figure out why I keep getting bumped out of these discussion threads. I always have the "Email Notify me of Replies" checked below. Weird... Confused

Steve and I haven't made any concrete plans, but we're considering leaving earlier (maybe June 8 or 9th), so we can take our time and do some hiking at Bryce and Grand Canyon on  the way down. We may even consider camping. Also, I'm figuring on participating in the first part of MMW in Prescott, AZ afterwards (6/19-21): http://www.azminiowners.com/minimeetwest2012/downloads/100136.pdf
