As many of you have seen, track days can kill your tires! My current set of BFGoodRich g-Force KDW 2's saw their last track day back in September and are now just getting by. (one has a slow leak) They worked with me for 2 summers which included 2 Auto-X events and 3 track days. Okay, I'll just show you the pics of the replacements

Here's what they would have looked like on my MC That's what they are coming off of.

Tristan, Did you pick those up off of a post on NAM? I saw those the other day and was toying with picking them up for my wife's car. If so, it was a good deal. Nice look!

Yes they are! When they cost little to no more than what a set of just tires go for, you just have too!!!!!! Where you the one who posted that you'd send the pics to your wife since she was out of town?

Much easier to clean!!!!!! I'd spent at least 10 minutes cleaning the black rims everytime I washed the Mini.
Otherwise, thanks! :-)
I do have a story to go along with the install.
Our cute (grrrrrrrrrrrrrr) cat decided that she would climb the fence right next to me just for kicks and while she was strattling it she thought to herself. Hmmmm, at this height I can jump into the Mini cuz THERE IS NO WINDOW on the passanger side... Ha ha! Funny thing, there was a window and so when she jumped into the Mini and Instead hit the window with her (not so cute at that time) head, and her precious claws came out and left 1 1/2 foot long scratches down the side of the door.Yeeeeeuh! As far as I can tell, she only got the wax... As far as I can tell right now
The End!
Motor On Guys!

Pic for proof

I wish you had a video camera as the cat tried to jump into the passenger side seat.  :)

Our cat tried to walk across the roof one day this summer, and found out (the hard way) that the sunroof was open.  Apparently, she tumbled into the driver seat, then looked very offended that I would have left the roof open like that.

Hopefully you have a random orbit and a couple minutes to take those scratches out.

Kudos on the wheels, and the late night jaunt for photo ops.  If you were not "certified" before, you are now!!!

As for your cat ... well, I like cats, but there are limits!  In the house ... water-spray bottles are effective.  In your case, I would have grabbed the hose!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The hose would have been nice At the same time I've come to realize that even though I feel that the Mini is attached to my soul, it is just an object that will get dirty and or a little dented and the cat just doesn't know. So I was able to extinguish the fuse quickly
Once I have some time I will post some good pics. Until then, we must all wait
I hope that everyone has a drama-less Thursday

Love those wheels.  I was looking an Enkei before I got my ASA AR1's (couldn't pass up the great deal).  The gunmetal look is great.

Love the shot with the cat strutting by, too.  ;)

You've put springs in there, haven't you?  I seem to remember that on your list of things done.  If yes, how much did you drop it?  About 1"?

You also need a good tint on there.  Maybe down to a 20% or so.

Yes, I've got about 1" drop from the springs. But it looks lower with the new tires

AND YES, I do need to get a tint job. I talked to a cuz yesterday who was going to be some pricing from him. Then I will! If I can get down to 20% tint I'd be very happy.

Oh yeah, and that's the cat Grrrrrrrrrr

I'm using H&R Springs. Hmmm, Blacking out the trim? I don't know. I haven't thought about it much. Honestly, I haven't even been following the thread that everyone is involved in. Now I need to though.

Thanks, I thought H&R dropped 1.4, how is the ride? Same as stock or smoother? You might check it out they have a link for a company doing vinyl on trim any color .

Maybe I do have 1.4" It does seem low....Goes to show how much I'm paying attention And as for ride smoothness, the ride is actually smoother now that I've got the 17's on vs the 16's. Weird huh? W/ lowering springs, for me at least, I get more road feel and I like that. I like to know exactly what my Mini is doing all the time on the road.

I agree, I like the feel since I installed the m7 STB. Don't like that after 800 dollars to NW I still had to fit the back side to the STB's. Just wondering because the h sports only drop an inch and put things a neutral on the push but they are a progressive rate spring. I liked the H&R's but I was worried about the ride being to stiff.
