Couldn't find a previous post using the search, so I'll ask how ease is it to replace the Air Intake Filter on a 2011 Cooper S?  The location appears to be at the back of the motor and accessible by removing some screws that allows the case to separate in half.  Wondering if there is anything special to be aware of relative to hoses, throttle body, etc.  Appreciate some guidance from those that have replaced theirs.

It's pretty straight forward just as you described. Easier if you don't have a strut brace in the way.

Rock simple and that video proves it.

I wish there was a local MINI Dealership, like our Honda, Subaru, Mazada and VW.

Follow the steps below one by one:
  1. First carefully disconnect the pipe
  2. Undo bolt 1 and bolt 2
  3. Pull out the air box
  4. Unscrew the filter with right torx driver
  5. Change the filter and reverse procedure
If you are not confident enough t fix it up then please take help of any car repair and maintenance service center - eurobahnm.com
