Hey just wanted to let everyone know about this awesome event we are doing..... From now until Dec 18th we are having a fill the MINI conv. Food drive... Our goal is to fill Two MINI conv.  with food to donate to the Local food banks, for the holiday season.  The first 35 people to donate to the cause will recieve a Metal MINI MOTORING HEARTS car badge, so you can show to eveyone what a generous MOTORER you are.  After that everyone who donates will recieve a motoring hearts cloth patch....  And remember non perishable foods only......

"LET"S BE A BUNCH OF GOOD FOR SOMETHINGS"

Put us down for a $15.00 donation (and hopefully a metal badge).  Hard for us northenders to get to Fife to drop something off - we'll have to snail mail our contribution...

I dropped by and gave a bunch of food and got the badge. It is a very cool badge, and they need a lot more food.

We were down also (I can't believe we missed you Janet).  The badge is very nice (pewter?)  I guess I'll have to break down and order a badge holder now.

It does feel like pewter. I was impressed. We don't have a badge holder either. I guess we will have to get one also

Your best bet for a Grill Badge Holder is Nick Abate at Morristown MINI ( http://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/index.cfm?action=More PartInfo&PartID=339938&siteid=214217&catalogid=3 751).  Put together a Group Buy (the more the better) and he can drop the price to $17.00-$17.50 each.  I ran the last group buy on this, and he's pretty quick to fill the order.

UPDATE:
Oof... just rechecked Morristown MINI.  He was discounting the Grill Badges to $18+S&H, so getting them at $17.50 including S&H was pretty sweet.  Now he has the Holders down to $17.50, so you may be able to work out a super sweet deal if you get a big group together.

I dropped some food off today, and the 1st Mini looks to be about 2/3rds full.  Kristin, you're right.  The pewter badges are pretty sweet.  Thanks to Ian and the folks @ NW MINI for organizing this!

I dropped off some food on Thursday, and I was shocked!!!  I still got a Metal/Pewter Badge!!!  They're still working on the 1st MINI, and still had fewer than 35 donators!!!

Come on, fellow Motorers!!!  Let's prove that MINI has the right to call us a bunch of 'good for somethings'!

Since we are unable to get down to NW Mini with a food donation, we sent a check to Ian.  We have not received any kind of acknowledgement that they even got the check....

Today we got the Grill Badge in the mail along with a note thankig us for our donation.

Thank you, NW MINI!

Quick note:  If anyone would like to send in a check for donation, please put ATTN IAN on the envelope..  Diane intercepted the last one.  I just want to make shure the all come to me so I am aware who needs a badge mailed out... and also I have eveyones adress on file so it makes it easier for us all, if I handle these types of donations.  Thanks guys!  And Remeber the drive is nearing a end and we havnt quite filled up our first car!  let's be a bunch of good for somethings!

thanks

IAN

Catalina and I dropped off a bag on Saturday and it was looking iffy for filling the car. Ian you've got a great idea and an admirable sense of community. Let's see if we can support this just a little more everyone.

Happy Holidays!
