Hello All-

I was wondering if anyone could suggest a good body shop, preferably
one
with MINI experience. I live in West Seattle and work in
Renton...anywhere in
between or near that would be great. Some cretinous low-life scum side-
swiped my parked car last night and left me with a souvenier piece of
junk
wheel cover . It could be way worse. It looks like I can just replace
the black palsic bits. Hey, a tree could have fallen on her Thursday night,
right?

Anyway,

Thanks for the help.

Sorry to hear about the sideswipe!  Stuff happens, but some people just can't take responsibility for themselves.  Hope they can't sleep, now...

My wife's  03 cooper was hit by someone turning left in front of her 1 week before she was trading it in on her 06 chili red MCS.  We took it to Murray's Auto Rebuild in Kent and they did an awesome job. NW Mini even said the repairs were undetectable.  They are a bit out of your way as they are just SW of the Kent/Des Moines exit off I-5.  I think they are listed under Service First Collision.  I don't have the number here, but do at work if you can't find it.  Call me Monday at 253-478-5242 and I'll find it for you.

We took our car there because of the work the Murrays did on a buddy's Corvette with custom bodywork.  During the process, Pat and his wife Wendy kept both Jo and me informed about the progress, as they knew we couldn't pick up the new car until the 03 was done.  Tom, Pat's brother, is the shop foreman.  He made sure the car was CLEAN before we got it back (you know how your car looks sometimes after one of the big custom shops finishes up - little specks of this and that in all kinds of impossible to clean areas, dust everywhere).  Not our car - we picked it up and traded it in that evening.

This is a family operation who gives a rip about their job, and it shows.

Call me if you can't find the number.

Good luck,
Pat Hillyer
