Hi everyone,

Just to let you know of the ID name change.  It's still me, just a little more explanatory:

Hapa = half
Haole = white

I'm half white (the other half is Japanese), and hapa haole is Hawaiian for being half white.  The name fits my car too because it's somewhat half white (at least on the outside):

Also, I did a BIG booboo last night... I unintentionally deleted ALL my incoming messages, so I no longer have any more phone numbers or addresses of those who've replied to me in the past year and a half.  Bummer as I lost a lot of information/suggestions too.  Cry  That's a lot of messages in the last year!  Cry  For those who desire, send me a PM with your numbers and any other info.

Thanks,
Brenda

I like it too, very creative and apropos.  I can never think of good screen names.

cute car...did it come with those mods, or have you added.  I can't decide if there's anything I need, except heated seats would've been nice.  I will definitely get that on the next Mini.

The only aftermarket mods/accessories I've added are:

* 5 spoke BSA chrome wheels
* H-Sport rear sway bar
* PS MINI decals (2)
* Personalized specialized plates (does that count?) LOL
* 3rd Brake Light Pulsar (GoMiniGo: http://www.gominigo.com)
* Glovebox organizer (GoMiniGo: http://www.gominigo.com)
* Rear seat pull up straps (GoMiniGo: http://www.gominigo.com)
* CravenSpeed Grille Badge Holder (GoMiniGo: http://www.gominigo.com)
* Run-flat snow tires (Discount Tire)
* Eyeball stickers/decals made by PIXEL/Earl Grey/Fred

......Geez, I guess that's a lot when I added it all up!  LOL

I always knew I was a haole.  And I've never been to Hawaii.

What's the Hawaiian word for blue?

Dave I believe it is uli which is deep blue like the sea.
I can ask my mom when I talk to her unless some else has an answer.

Ah, no wonder you're so pretty.
Do they call you "ainoko" in Japanese?

There’s really no definite word for the word blue.  It depends whether it’s referred to as the sea, clothes, eyes, etc.  Examples of Hawaiian words for blue:  uli, uliuli (of deep sea); polū (of clothes, eyes); A pale blue dye for tapa was obtained from ʻukiʻuki berries.

Nobody from my mom's side of the family ever called me ainoko.  I guess that's a good thing as some would maybe consider it to be derogatory.  For those who don't know, ainoko can mean: crossbreed, Eurasian, hybrid, mulatto.

Oh, I'm sorry. I hope I didn't offend you.
I guess my Japanese is too outdated.
