This might be a good opportunity for our club to support a very worthwhile chairity that provides bicycles for needy kids.  There seems to be a need for experienced bicycle people and those with no experience.  Let me know if you would be interested in participating.

(More about Sharing Wheels at: http://mysite.verizon.net/res1liz9/id1.html )  They are located in Everett.

Hello Everyone,
Well it's the most wonderful time of the year as the song goes.  What that means for us at Sharing Wheels is that we get to fix up and connect thousands of kids to the bicycle they always wanted but Santa couldn't quite fit on his sleigh.  Christmas House is expecting to serve around 10,000 this year and really need our help because their funding for bicycle's was cut in half from last year and they project serving approx. 2,000 more people.  Currently we have around 70 youth size bikes that can be fixed up and we need all the volunteer support we can get.  So in response to this need we are planning a couple of work parties (3 if needed).  The work parties are usually a lot of fun w/ several people helping out and good snacks to eat.  Doesn't matter if you have mechanical skills or not there are plenty of tasks that can be done from pumping up tires to making them shiny for the kids.  The work parties will be at sharing wheels on Oct. 25th and Nov. 8th from 10-3pm and maybe one on black Friday or the wknd of.  We welcome any who want to help so bring a friend!  Please email me or call me if you are interested in coming.
Thanks,
Zach

Great idea!  We've donated bikes in the past for a group here in Pierce County.  EVERY kid should have a bike.  Thumbs%20Up
