We have FINALLY sold our house, at this point only a catastrophic event will prevent the sale. The closing date is 1 August which means we won't be able to go to Winter Park as we will be leaving FI 1 Aug. after we sign the final papers for Lake Havasu City.
We had a great time last year and were really looking forward to this years adventure bu...t we are now looking at next year's MITM. Everything is moving fast & furious so we won't be able to attend any more PS Mini events. We can't tell you how much we have enjoyed our short time with the club, we have had so much fun, everyone has been great, we hope to see you in the future somewhere on a Mini highway (twisty road). We have an event on Saturday, July 30th (the club is doing a tree-to-tree zip-line thing), so we won't be able to head out until Sunday...if any of you are interested in doing it, let me know. It's limited to 30 people.

Thank you, we have loved our time in the beautiful NW, it is time for a change neither of us had been in 1 place longer than 3 years until we moved back here 19 years ago.
We will miss our Mini friends. I had hoped we'd be able to go to Robin Hood with you & Lee, we have talkied about it several times but it doesn't look like that will happen.

I'm hoping I get my vanity plates before the trip.
I had MINIENV when we were in WA, but it wasn't available in OR when we moved here...now they are available and I got them!! MINI NV plates should be on their way.

MITM has now posted the event manual. Visit the website to download or print it. It is the only copy you will get. There won't be one handed out at the event.

I made it back! I had a great time with this event. The ride down was something else too. Spectacular scenery in Idaho, Yellowstone National Park (didn't see one bear, just a moose and lots of chipmunks and elk), the Tetons (unbelievable), the Arches National Park (hot, very) and Colorado mountains too (with daily thunderstorms to dirty MINIs). A hilarious Police escort with too many MINIs to count down from the resort to downtown Winter Park on Friday night. A group photo of just about all of the MINIs that were there on Saturday. Good rides at MITM (except for a disasterous ice cream run) and the Alpine slide was a blast (ask Beth). Got sunburned too. And congratulations go out for Leanne and Bad Kitty at the car show! I took a ton of pictures and will post a link for those when I get them organized. Now I have to wash off several layers of dead bugs off my MINI.

Good times on the trip to Winter Park - at MINIs In The Mountains - and on the trip home. Got home at 2:00 PM today (Wednesday) after covering 3,785 miles, averaging 28.8 MPG and 56.1 MPH in the Countryman. More later...
