I had so many interested in my black wheels yesterday that I'm seriously considering pulling the trigger sooner than later on new ones.
Just randomly looking for input. Wheels in question are: Motegi MR125 (a new wheel that I haven't seen on a MINI yet). http://www.tirerack.com/images/wheels/motegi_race/swap/motegir_mr125_b_ci3_s.jpg Motegi SP10 (love them Kurt). I was looking at these in black but am not a fan of the silver inner portion. http://www.tirerack.com/images/wheels/motegi_race/swap/motegir_sp10_hb_ci3_s.jpg Konig Feather (without the red lip) http://www.altaperformance.com/products/show/694/KONIG-Feather-17-Black-Red Right now I'm leaning towards the MR125 for something different. I have. I love the look of the wheels but don't like how they say Team Dynamics around the rim.

Love the RPF1 type II but get sticker shock looking at it $320/wheel.
The Fujin doesn't come up as an option on my car. Wonder if the brake clearance is why. Todd |

OOPS I miss read the FUJINs are only in 5 lug.
Yes the PPF1's are a little expensive those light rims cost. Aren't Sparco's from the same people that make OZ? |

For the Motegi SP10, I guess you could always have them repainted, if you don't find another suitable rim...
If you'd like to see them on YOUR car, feel free to stop over and we can mount up a couple. |

Todd,
Not quite sure why you are looking at new wheels if you: "had so many interested in your black wheels"... Perhaps I read this wrong :)? If everyone agrees they look great - why change? Unless you wanted to lose some unsprung weight... that I understand
My two bits: I think black wheels on Pepper White Mini's look fantastic
I like the Motegi MR125 or the Konig Feathers
(I prefer 4 to 8 spokes. I think the GP wheels would be great on your car. OEM are expensive; but you can find replicas on eBay... I have no idea about replica reliability though...)

John - At some point we will probably be looking to replace the runflats on the CM - might consider a tire/wheel package if we find something we like better than the factory wheels....
Todd - Tainting not intended - but if YOU run across any 5 lug wheels that will fit a CM could you let me know.... Edited by CINIMIN - April/25/11 at 3:43pm |

The MR125 is at the top of the list right now. As I mentioned, I really like the SP10 but the black version of this wheel has a silver inner wheel which just looks out of place IMO.
I like the feathers as well but they're too "cut" for me I think and don't go with the MINI (hard lines). I need to verity the MR125 will clear the brakes. |

It's really unfortunate as it's a good looking rim. I could always powder coat like I did with my last set but would prefer to avoid that route.

I guess they may have done that because with the tire and wheel being black, it's just too much black for most cars. But on a pepper white, all the black just works.

Todd did you make your decision yet??
Jack, Countryman ?? from what I am getting the bolt pattern is 5-120 and to use 1 or 3 series to find 17 or 18 inch rims, the ET is 50 for the 18's |

Nope. Mods are on hold for a bit due to the recent spending spree (intake, AP, FMIC).
