I try to run with it off most of the time. Track days help with that =)

John:
Have you ever recorded, or measured Db, of the sound difference between the Hankook Studded and the DWS tires?? How far do you drive to work on the studs?? I ran studs on my Honda Element AWD and it would go almost anywhere, on or off road but that vehicle was noisier than the MINI!! Where we used to live the term "winter supplies for the car" meant carrying a chainsaw too Stephen Edited by SMOG - December/16/11 at 6:10am |

I wish there was a local MINI Dealership, like our Honda, Subaru, Mazada and VW.

Can't say that I have measured the Db, 20 miles to work one way. J |

If everything seems under control, you're just not going fast enough.

If your winter and summer tires are the same size, is there a need to do an alignment at each seasonal swap?

You shouldn't unless you made suspension changes or hit something.

I imagine that the buzz would keep you awake on those late night shifts. You also are probably only running them on ice??? |
