Apparently there were 4 months of the early build for 2011 model years that had defective soldering on an internal wire in the T-Stat and when it fails it will throw a CEL and a corresponding CODE # P10D.  It happened to me Sunday, exactly one year from date of purchase.  NW MINI say 3 hr fix so I am in Loaner #96 Big smile

I wish there was a local MINI Dealership, like our Honda, Subaru, Mazada and VW.

We will see tomorrow when I am supposed to pick up my MINI.  I could read the CODE but either the PLX cannot clear codes like it advertises or this was totally unclearable.  I suspect the latter.

After driving that 2012 MINI home (360 miles on it) I really felt that my 2011 with the CatBack exhaust system and 3500 miles on it is a lot zippier!!!Thumbs Up , but it is more noisy....  I am inclined to insulate the cabin better than take off the CatBack system.
