Like these (but these are in UK, so right hand drive):
These are priced around $10-15k... I wonder how much it'd cost to ship them here? Probably $2k?

I am aware of one classic MINI (a 1997 I think) in this area that may be available. I'm emailing you the details.
It's from Japan.
Most of the late model stuff is imported from Japan or UK. The last Japan models had aircon, fuel injection, airbags, the works. |

Cool, thanks Kurt. Probably I can't afford but just want to see what's out there. I just finished watching the latest Top Gear where they go to India. As you can guess, one of the cars they used is a classic Mini :) That's where the urge comes from.

Yeah. I can understand the urge. in my case, the wife says no, unless I get rid of my big MINI. Tempting but probably not very practical for daily use, even if I don't have to commute every day.

Importing a Classic is a fairly difficult process involving lots of federal paperwork. Best left to experienced importers who know the legal processes and proceedures. Best bet is to shop ebay or orhter automotive sites for one that has been thru the process and has a clear US title.

There are a couple nice ones over at SAMOA, but no one can join to find out more about them.

If everything seems under control, you're just not going fast enough.
