Time to move on! I'll miss my MINI but I really appreciated the fellowship with many in this club.

The car is "SPECIAL" but the people make it "AWESOME"!

Here's a picture of my new toy!

Hope to see all the MINI Track Rats at the first event of the year! By then, I hope to be familiar enough with this Beast so I won't embarras myself.

Drove back from Camus last night and the bloody thing has GOBS of Torque. BUT, going down, MINI only used slightly more than 1/4 tank while the Boss used almost 3/4 tank. But I was often in 3, 4, 5, & 6 gears trying to vary speed & RPM so this puppy seals all it's moving parts. Per the manual, that's all that needed during the first 1000 miles, then TRACK WORK is good to go!

Cheers!

PS: She is # 2373 Born 10/19/2011. Mid week build so she should ROCK!

Greg - CONGRATULATIONS!  Great way to start the new year -

Thanks for all the good things you did for the club and all of the MINI owners - you were always an inspiration and a very strong safety advocate here on the forums and a fun guy when you made it to an event.  Hope you will drop in here occasionally for an update on your adventures with the Boss - and bless us with a live showing at some of our gatherings - You will always be welcome

You leave us with one of the great traditions here at PSMINI that I am sure will continue - the Northwest Harvest Porsche MINI challenge - but I guess we'll be seeing you on the other side for the next couple of years.

Thanks - and have fun!
Jack -

Wow, talk about a different beast. Sad to see the MINI go, but with your driving skill, the jump to RWD is inevitable, and this is a really capable car for a really reasonable price. I look forward to seeing it at the track...if you can afford to bring it to the track after the jump in your monthly gasoline bill :-)

Greg,
Congrats on your new beast!  It IS a beauty!  I truly hope it is a perfect fit for you.  I'll miss chasing all of the torque in that Mini of yours and I'll be sure to give you a wave buy SHOULD you ever catch me on the track.
One good turn deserves another...and another...

Greg,

I raced against one of those this year in Conference. Wowza...fast! I love those cars and glad you got one. Looking forward to seeing it up close!

Awwww cmon on it's "Just" a Mustang.

Just kidding. Congratulations. How about some specs. HP, Torque, Auto or stick etc.

That will be a fun ride. Too bad you couldn't have kept the Mini too. It's nice to transition between the two cars. Yea!

I purchased a 2011 5.0 last year but could not part with my MINI.  The 5.0 brings back the old days of horsepower on demand.  But the Mini is still the most fun to drive car I have ever owned.
