I wouldnt be so quick to call it all fake. Have you seen any of the videos of base jumpers wearing that same suit? It is amazing how much horizontal travel they can make. RedBull put out an awesome commercial of these "flying squirrel" suited base jumpers in Thailand.

I suppose it could be done, but.... A buddy of mine base jumps and has
many thousands of jumps, judges in the Nationals (skydiving), HALO Jumps
going Scuba, and she won't try a wingsuit!!
