I have a set of wheels I'm planning on getting powder coated.  Do any members have recommendations based on shops they have personally used?  I'm really looking for first hand info rather than a Google search list.  I've read that Powder Coating Inc in Mukilteo is a good shop, but they don't reply to inquiries - so I'm a bit put off by their customer service in bidding out work.

Any first hand referrals are appreciated.

Cheers!
Kevin

I have used a powdercoater in Kingston and they did what they said they could do, but that was 8 years ago.

I wish there was a local MINI Dealership, like our Honda, Subaru, Mazada and VW.

Sorry, I can't give a firsthand referral, but one of our new Club Sponsors is Prestige Wheel Repair, and I know they do powder coating.  I'm sure they offer a PSMINI discount.

They are in Bellevue.  www.prestigewheelrepair.com   425-761-0749.

P.S.  I'm not affiliated with them in any way, just know they are a new sponsor (they donated to the Christmas party raffle), so might be a place to check out.

I have used Powder Coating Inc in Mukilteo and had good results from them.  Lots of fancy custom car stuff in there too...
One good turn deserves another...and another...

Thanks everyone.  I've heard back from Mukilteo and a new company in Kenmore (Hell Yeah Powder Coating) as well as Northwest Powder Coating in SeaTac.  All seem like they have a good reputation.  I'll get in touch with Prestige to see what they are all about.

Are you looking to coat a set of wheels too?  I'm finding pricing variance from $400 - 500 for a set of 18" wheels using a custom Prismatic Powder option.  Pricing includes sandblast, chemical dip, etc.
