Just called Accutint, and I'm scheduled for next Tuesday. The guy I spoke to wasn't certain whether they still do the discounts for club members or not. He thought they stopped doing that sometime last year. Here's hoping he's just not got the latest info. ;)
Deanne was complaining as we drove home following the Tulip Rallye, so I figured it's time to just get it done. |

What % are you getting? I have 35% all around, and I'm really happy with it.

I'm thinking of getting 20%. I may opt for 35%, once I get a look at the two side by side

I was told that it should be around $250. Shark Reef had it done about a month or two ago, and I believe it was around $272 after taxes.

That's alot. They should be able to do it for $200 including taxes. If it is that much it is almost worth driving to Olympia to get a discount depending of course on how far north you live.

I just had mine tinted a couple weeks ago and it was about $200 out the door. I wavered back & forth between 15% & 35% (the place I used didn't have anything between the two). I had decided to go with the 35% to keep it legal but changed at the last minute to go 15% after looking at a couple cars they had just done. I am really glad I went that way and think I would have regretted not going darker than 35.

I used a little hole in the wall place in Auburn just down the street from where I work called Dealer Xpress. Normally I would have been leary of a small place since I have seen some bad tint jobs. When I went in they had several luxury cars in the shop with dealer window stickers. I figured they couldn't be too bad if the lexus dealer used them. I think it was $189.95 + tax.

I've been meaning to update to thread. Kirby's windows are now tinted to 20% light transmission. It's actually not quite as dark as I thought it was going to be, which is just fine. The tint really completes the look with having the black top, I think. I have photos, but I appear to have left the USB cable at home. I'll see if I can update with photos when I get home tonight.

I can just imagine what your Mini looks like. I'm glad to hear that you went with a darker tint. YakiMini has a dark tint, though I'm not sure what % it is. It just adds character to the Mini Congrats on the window tint MOD lol.... |

No need to imagine anymore! Just go to http://www.phydeaux.net/gallery/tint to see some before and after photos I took in the parking garage here at work. Not great photos, but you get the idea.

Looks good. Since we both have a DS/B (mine a cabrio) I can really get a
good idea of what it would look like on Mini_Zag. Looks like yet another thing on my wishlist!!! |

I'd be more than happy to try out a few other things for you, too, Mini_Zag. CAI, reduction pulley, exhaust... I'd make that sacrifice to further the cause. ;)
