<sarcasm> Oh great, just what we need - another huge truck that can't fit in the parking spots at the big box store, but that doesn't prevent the owner from trying anyway. </sarcasm>

Sarcasm aside, that's an impressive machine. It looks like a pickup truck but has more power than anything else with six wheels... I am curious why the need for such a huge fuel tank?

"It must get amazing gas millage if it can go 1700 miles on a tank!" <-- Most americans have no idea that MPG has nothing to do with the size of your tank.

My uncle might actually be a potential buyer for this thing. He used to be a long haul trucker and now has a pretty sizable 5th wheel. He's used to crossing a couple states before having to fill up. Does not mean it's the right way to do it. In fact, I'm sure this is the wrong answer to a lot of problems.

With some of the stuff people will be hauling with this truck, it's almost the size of a semi trailer. It could be stressful to try to shoehorn it into a crowded gas station to get it fueled up. This way, they can drive for a day or two before doing so.

And this is why we have to worry about stability in the middle east.

Just imagine how much fun that thing would be to fill up (not even considering paying for it).

For the uninitiated, diesel foams.  A lot.  To actually fill a diesel tank requires significant patience as one fills then waits for the bubbles to go down and fill some more then waits.  .  Three tanks???  Argh.

The question is, "When you turn on your car does it return the favor?"

Ask your self do you need a vehicle the you can drive none stop for 28 hours. It also most likely once you hook a load up MPG will drop to 5 to 7.

Don't know about the rest of you, but I can't go 28 hours without a stop...

My thoughts exactly... I'd think carry that extra weight would decrease the overall mileage.
