Beth and I got back this afternoon from the Run to Little Creek event hosted by the All British Field Meet and Jaguar of Tacoma. What a great group of people! The event was extremely well organized from start to finish. The route was great - lots of curvy back roads, no traffic to speak of, and beatiful homes and scenery. By my count we had 14 MINIs at the event, but I may have missed a few. There were some great classic British cars there too, despite the rain, including a pair of British taxis! I'm posting a couple of photos below, and will try to post more on a website later. Hope we can make Run to the Sea this year - we'd love to join this great group of people for another event! Checking out the "competition" before check-in..... His & Hers british taxis... anybody need a lift? With jump seats they'll hold 5 in the back! Definitely more room than a MINI.... Probably the strangest site on the route ... a CAMEL???!!! |

Yes, we saw an actual camel on the run, too! So glad you got the picture of it!! Great pics, Beth and Roy! We'll echo how much fun this event was. The weather didn't cooperate a bit, but the roads were so much fun, it didn't matter. The company was great as well and we all had fun at the dinner. The hotel was very nice, enjoyed the fireworks at night, parlayed our free $5 ticket into $27 (gas money), and had a nice drive back. Arnie said ' you'd know if you won this leg or not, if you made it home' - so guess we did fine! We will also look to go on the Run to the Sea with the British club. They are really a fun group and plan some great events. Linda & Jack |

Here are the results from the Run to Little Creek. Our Minis were well represented! The first place winner was actually driving a 2006 Mini, although he had registered with the older Jag. |

I have never been disappointed with the quality of an ABFM event. It was another joyous day. Hope the wife is up for Run to the Sea. Nice pics Beth. |
