Some of us don't always have the couple hundred dollars to spend on a "colored" headlight. So here is an easy solution.
There are 2 ways to accomplish this. 1. Use a heat gun. 2. Use your oven. After removing your headlight assembly, also the lamp washer if you have one equipped, remove the metal tabs around the light. Now you could use a heat gun to slowly heat up the glue. You can also heat your oven to 200 degrees and leave the lamp in there for up to 20 minutes. This will allow the seal to free up for the modification. Once finished with the mod, just reheat the parts and stick back together. For mine, I used a heat gun due to the electronics. But cost was only a can of paint versus the 250 I found for the same style online. Before: After: |
