Cool.
I went to a village like this in Taiwan once. It looked very much the same, except more tourists. Everything looks more narrow on a bicycle-cam. Before I left Japan, I made this video of my commute from my house to the train station:

Jack: That is amazing! Those guys are in good shape to do that!! In this Country government intervention would not allow such a thing. I get tired thinking about setting up such a thing!!!
Kurt: Kudos for building your own E-Bike! Very nice. Did everyone notice that the Japanese are very structured with left and right sides of sidewalks/bike paths? Even have barriers to stop/remind you to be on the correct side of the walk! Here there would arm waving, one finger salutes and screaming all along that ride Edited by SMOG - February/26/13 at 9:18pm |

I wish there was a local MINI Dealership, like our Honda, Subaru, Mazada and VW.

Kurt - how long were you in Japan? I lived in Tokyo for 5 years (Nishi-Azabu, just south of Roppongi). I still miss being a foreigner in Japan!! At least I'm still a foreigner here!
