I still have my '03 R50 but now I have an '05 R53, so the old one is going up for sale soon. I blew up a couple Midlands 5 speeds and finally upgraded it to a Getrag 6 speed, but ultimately I realized I had to just get an S. It took me over a year to find the one I wanted.
It's excellent that Washington is issuing plates that begin with BAH at the moment. I have a pair of Wipac lights and OEM aux light wiring to install, and the wiring for the rear fog light. I just put in the switch row that fills in the missing fog toggle. Put on AutoXCooper K-brace and strut tower plates, and convertible front braces. Replaced low speed fan resistor and engine position sensor o-ring. I have a set of Smith's classic Mini gauges from MiniSpares.com along with Cravenspeed pods ready to install. I've been working on assembling all the right adapters for the mechanical senders and the water temperature capillary tube. Roadrunner Milltek UK has shipped me an exhaust. When it gets here I'm going to take it down to Broomfield's Marine exhaust here in Ballard and have them weld on a bung for a wide band oxygen sensor, then take it down to Auburn to Performance Coatings for ceramic thermal coating. I've been spending my waiting time watching ModMini's YouTube videos. |
