D and I have a great time, and will be seen at future drives.  In fact, not only were you guys instrumental in helping me get past 1000 miles, by the time I pulled into the garage, I've got 1195 miles.  I seem to remember the "magical" number being 1200.  This means I can really put my foot into it, right?  ;)  Oh, and I think it's official, Kirby is the name of my Cooper S.  Too bad that's taken as a personalized plate.

Another good drive, although I don't think I'll do another drive without my ladies. It was kind of lonely at times inside the car. I briefly browsed through my pics, and might actually have a couple worth posting.

Biggest note of the day:

345.2 Miles/10.910 Gallons = 31.64MPG

That is the best I have calculated so far, not that I calculate every tank.

Thanks for the air filter Dave, you were right, long overdue.

Mine was'nt as good 345 miles/12.3 gal = 28mpg but better than last time of 23 mpg.

I am glad we had the turn out we did, thanks to everyone that attended.  It was a little better than last year to be able to spend sometime look around.

PHYDEUX, since Kirby is now ready, hit that gas and really see what you can do, go out and take Kirdy to the redline a couple of times, you thought it was good before...........

Concept MINI?

Nice trip again with a great turn out. Just can't beat a group of MINI enthusiasts for a fun time. Look forward to seeing you all again soon.

Is that a patient group or what?

MINIROX ... I get it!!! Slow I sometimes am, just not in a passing lane.

We had a great time with you MINI enthusiast's.  As for you Dave,  I think I would come up with a better way to clean your interior.  You might be using to much water . Maybe a refresher course at Griot's might be an option. Looking forward to the next mortoring adventure.

Regarding MPG - interesting that at the end of the run my computer said 32.2 but in reality I needed 7.00 gal for 202 miles ie 28.85mpg.  This non-linearity in the on board trip computer explains a lot in terms of my day to day observation of what the computer reports as the tank gets lower.  As the tank gets lower the stated range remaining declines faster than the distance travelled and the econoly goes down.   So much for modern technology - oh well.

Since it seems the thing to do, 220.2 miles, 7.678 gallons, producing 28.68 mpg.

Think we should make this mpg reporting a standard feature of our drives for a while.  Interesting to see the variance, particularly when you consider the various mods.

We had way more fun than should be legal!  Well, we didn't really break that many laws...

Thanks to everyone who helped make this happen and all who participated.  We look forward to many more drives.  You are a great bunch, and we are so glad we joined the club!  We really missed participating in the return trip, but we had made arrangements to stop at the Snoqualmie Tunnel on the way home.  A 8:30 pm, the I-90 construction was a breeze with no traffic.  Our photos weren't nearly as cool as those already posted, and nothing will compare to the mental pictures I hope we will never forget.

Haven't filled up the tank yet... we'll post our mileage when we do.

Thanks for the cool pins, too!  We hope to start a collection now!

Jasa and I had a great day with all of you. You truly are a great group of
people and we're looking forward to future events.

I only took two pictures on the trip, here's the better of the two:

P.S. Phydeaux, how about Hoover or Eureka or Oreck!!! Sorry I didn't get

I do calculate each tank (only because I use a PDA that does it for me), and we got 30.44 mpg for LEavenworth.  I'm sure that will drop now that I've passed 1200 miles...

I've been telling people about having 21 MINIs one a drive, and it's really fun to see their faces light up with the thought of it.  I forgot to mention, too, that Deanne and I had lunch with some random couple.  We got to talking about the MINIs, and they happened to be one of the couples standing on the sidewalk at the rest stop as we were pulling out.  They just may stop into NW MINI and look into a silver convertable.  :)

Kirby got to show me more of what he is capable of yesterday.  I took Cameron to a birthday party, and we went on Tiger Mountain Rd.  I'm sure the residents were a bit annoyed at the dark silver streak flashing past at *ahem* around 70 or so.  Cameron asked if we could "go really speedy again" on the way home, so I just had to oblige him.  Oh, how convincing a 4 year old can be...

I'll be adding a link to my photos when I get home tonight.  I was going to transfer them to a location that I could get to while at work, and just ran out of time.  The panoramic I did of the MINi cluster at the rest stop turned out looking great.

Agreed.  I was thinking that there were so many people to meet for the first time, we'll just have to do it again and again til we get everyone matched up to their cars.  :)

Adding to the photos, http://www.phydeaux.net/gallery/Leavenworth-05.; The panoramic will be redone when I register the program.  That banner in the middle of the photo is annoying.

We had a great time.  We got to meet some new people and found that our dog Trey travels much better than Dave and Meg's.
But.... Trey wasn't challenged nearly as much as their dog was on the high speed multi curve test that he went through.
