Saturday morning I plan to be elbows deep in MINIMNT's front end putting on the PowerFlex Control Arm bushings and sway bar bushings. Thought I could do it while I was off for a month after Hazel was born but Way Motor Works didn't ship until about a week before I had to go back to work, so it's this weekend or bust as the weather isn't going to get any better. Way is probably wondering why I haven't returned my old ones yet as well.
I'll mention this to Stacie and the kids (!) but 9am on a Saturday is particularly hard these days. Bruce |

Bruce, make sure you have one of those ratcheting tie down thingys. You will need it to pull the Control Arm into to new bushing in order to engage the inner ball joint.

Was hoping to make a run up from Tacoma for donuts, but our remodeling contractor told us this morning that he would not be able to finish today. The tile guy will be arriving at eight tomorrow.
Oh well, we'll see some of you next weekend for the 2nd Annual Rallye des Montagnes du Nord.

I was discussing with a fellow PSMINI member recently the pros and cons of the Countryman/Paceman interior and we determined yet another pro.
We believe, although neither of us have a Countryman/Paceman to test with, you can get an Apple Fritter into the cup holders. Now we know you can't get an Apple Fritter (at least no proper fritter) into the cup holder of a Cooper, maybe an Old Fashioned, but not an Apple Fritter. We need your help! Come out tomorrow and let us buy a bunch of donuts and we'll see what fits in each others cup holders! All joking aside, the weather tomorrow will be perfect for a cup of coffee, a couple donuts, and MINI conversation. Come join us at Top Pot. We can also discuss Formula 1 in New Jersey. WHERE? I got the PowerFlex pre-pressed ones from Way Motor Works if that's the part you're talking about. I've done this on my car but didn't recall needing a ratchety thingy to pull the control arm into place. The PowerFlex ones pretty much just slid on to the arms. I think there's a bit of lube they include for this purpose. Getting the remains of the old ones off, now that's the hard part. Bruce, taking a tea break. |
