Various sources are reporting that a new, smaller MINI, perhaps with cues taken from the Rocketman show car, will result from a BMW/Toyota collaboration.

I was reading about it in the May issue of Car and Driver.  They're guesstimating height and width dimensions as about the same as the R50-R53 MINI, but about six inches shorter.

Bring it in under 2400 pounds, with a drivetrain along the lines of the Fiat Abarth, and I'd buy one.

I'm especially heartened by the idea that it might be a simple car.

I find this to be much more exciting than any MINI since the original.

Thanks for the interesting article!

One thing's for sure, I WANT those Union Jack tail lights right NOW on my MINI!
