 Topic: Rev Limiter Change?

Anybody know it the Rev Limiter can be changed to a higher RPM? It is so aggrevating to be winding out in 1st preparing to blow into 2nd and have the car dump at the Rev Limit before you have to shift.

Yes there are many ceu programs that move the rev limiter to 7300 instead of 6800. Dinan is one that is dealer installed. There are many after market ones also.

The Shark unit I purchased from Mini Mania has allowed me to rev past 7200. I haven't felt the need to go beyond that yet.

Mini can install or does it have to be an Dinan authorized shop? SInce I am limited on where I can get mods/work done here in Korea. Am still looking for the speed shop here to do my Alta pulley.

I'm not sure. Is there a BMW dealer there? They may be dinan authorized.NW Mini has to take the Minis to the BMW to get the dinan installed here.Good luck
