I finally finished the stereo install in my MINI this week, so figured I would post some pics of it.  The worst part was getting the double DIN touchscreen into the dash, lots of surgery needed.  The amps are under the front seats and are digital Alpines (small but powerful, hmmm just like the MINI).  The head unit is a Kenwood DNX-710EX, the sub woofers are 10" thin series Pioneer Premiers, the rear are 6x9 3-way Polk DBs, and the fronts are a 6.5" Polk DB component set with the tweeters mounted in the stock H/K spot on the door.  I am happy with how it turned out and was able to at least keep some space in the bootWink
In progress, if you couldn't tell.
With the cover in place (need to find some better matching carpet)
With the cover off.
I can access my fuses by removing the stock side panel.

Holy whatever!!!  Very cool!  I'm looking at that second picture and thinking "what - are you NUTS!!!?"  Nice install, and congratulations on getting the interior put back...

Here is a better photo of the dash install and a photo of the second trim board I made to fit over the rear seats.

hmm.... that amp install looks awfully familiar. Looks really good! Did you think about trying to stack the amps?

I considered stacking the amps but with how low I keep my seat because of my height I don't think it would have fit.  Plus I had nothing to stick under the opposite seat so I figured I would just give them as much air space as possible.  I am surprised at how cool these amps run and how much power they put out for the small size.  Digital is sure the way to go.
