Does anyone use an after market sun roof wind deflector, and do they really work?

When I open my sun roof I get too much wind noise.

It they do minimize the wind noise, where did you get yours from?

I use the factory deflector which is nice.  It has a little swivel section that you can use to deflect air down into the car.  I've had it installed since day one so I can't tell you what the difference is without one.  I have never been bothered by wind noise since I have a volume button on the radio.

LOLLOL  I should do the same.    Does yours hide into your roof when closed?

No, if you look closely on my signature block you can see it on the roof.  Here is another photo of it.

oh dah.  I should have looked at your signature block.   But thanks for that close up picture.  It looks good on your car.   I'm going to go ahead and get one.   Thanks.

I didn't know there was a factory one. I recently bought one from WeatherTech, but it's still in the box as we haven't had a chance to put ot on yet. I'm so happy to see how good it looks on Hip Check, cause, of course, I was concerned about the looks. It looks good!  Tongue

I'd like to get one too but I'm still debating.  Does the deflector interfere with the sunroof seal?  I wonder if NW MINI has one on the lot that I can take a look at.  Does anyone have an idea on cost?

I believe $100 and you can look at mine any time.  It has no effect on the seal.

Thanks for the offer Mitch...  I know I mentioned a while ago when I first saw it that I wanted to go for a drive with you to check it out and see if it's really quieter.  Was that at the Haulin' Ash Wine Tour last year?  Do you work in Covington or nearby?  Maybe if you're nearby the Federal Way/Auburn area I could meet you somewhere.

Would a Saturday coffee in Federal Way work for you Brenda?

I have a factory wind deflector for sale (just like the one pictured in this thread); installed and removed in less than a week (just didn't care for the look).  Please make a reasonable offer if you're interested ......... thanks, Craig

Although there is one built-in it doesn't really side window deflector the wind much at all, however, there isn't a lot of wind (relatively speaking) which gets in. I don't find it annoying in any way.
