Well - it's bad enough that my own joints are acting up  but it seems that the change out of my sway bar that we did at the pulley party has resulted in loud creaking noises coming mostly from the right rear side of the car  .  Any suggestions  (especially from Ed or Mike) would be VERY welcome.  Thanks in advance!!

did you grease the bushings really well?  From what I have read, that is the most common cause of noise from a sway bar.  Or it could be rubbing on something.  I'm not sure how you would be able to tell for sure which it was.

Thanks Grant - actually Mike and Ed installed it - but I watched - and must say that I think they did - infact they even applied Teflon tape to the contact area on the bar before adding grease.  I'm thinking perhaps something else maybe should have been greased / or something was a little over tighted.  But I'm guessing.

Update - Word to the wise (anyone else planning on this mod) use the grease supplied with the sway bar, not general purpose lithium grease - or what ever was used.  The joint on the right side was dry.

Just a minor irritation - once I figured out what was causing the noise.  Do you happen to know what the grease Alta supplies is?  I'll need more for the left side as soon as it starts to creak.

Hey Dave,

The grease is Energy Suspension grease. Any local auto aprts store that carries eS parts should have it in a big tube for about $4.00. ;)

Hope that helps!
